Block & Tackle: Welcome 2018!

2018 - welcome you sneaky son of a gun.

Seriously, this year couldn't have come fast enough. I have known and gone through so much trauma and hurdles over this last year. I know countless clients and friends who have gone through the same. Loss after hurdle after break up, and business challenges on top of it all.

Is it normal? Sure.

But, 2017 can get the heck out of the way because 2018 is finally here.

At the start of every year, I plan an intention, word or picture to guide me through the year. This year I was continually seeing a picture of a pulley. You know, the round one with the wheel... I see myself as operating in the capacity of a pulley to help you move forward to reach your goals. With a pulley, you can defy physics and lift unrealistically heavy objects.

So I mapped it all out. What areas of success - whatever that means to you - could an entrepreneur benefit from? At the end of it all, I got a really interesting map that is all about connection. Authentically is here to help you connect - to yourself, finances, goals, and clients. I'm especially excited about our pilot mentorship program (sorry all — we are full this quarter, but you can get on the waitlist for Q2 here).

When it came to naming the year I thought:

"Success pulley"

sounded goofy!

So I pulled out the Thesaraus (I am lying... l pulled up my trusty friend Google) and another name for pulley is "Block & Tackle" which could not have been more perfect!

block and tack·le

noun: block and tackle; plural noun: blocks and tackles

a mechanism consisting of ropes and one or more pulley-blocks, used for lifting or pulling heavy objects.
— My best friend, Google

How flipping fantastic is that? Whatever is in your way, whatever is blocking you, let's tackle it in 2018 together. Please let me know what you're going to tackle in the comments below. I CANNOT WAIT.

2018 - Let's do this.
