Early this year, I had a meeting with Denise Barry. A remarkable, radiant woman - her gentle quietness intrigued me. We talked about her new business venture - Empowerment Coaching - and how we might work together.
This is when I decided to try empowerment coaching for myself.
Sceptical, yet hungry for growth, who better to work with than this kind soul.
Working with Denise for these past ten months, I have learned so much about myself and about what I want in life. Coaching is incredibly empowering, and Denise's gentle way of drawing on truth and setting us, her clients on a journey to rediscover our most empowered selves. I learned as much as embracing the way I work, leaning into my own talents and approach, and how to believe the best for myself and clients I have been able to embrace the instinctual part of design.
This Fall, I Had the Honour of Helping Denise's Vision Come to Life.
When Denise and I initially met it was about how I could help her - and she turned out to help me! When the time was right, I was honoured to help Denise build the brand of her dreams.
The Shaping of A Brand
Denise helps uncover hidden gold, buried beneath a layer of clay. We do different things to protect ourselves starting at a young age - and these things can hold us back later in life. Our base for Denise was clay colours and soft.
Denise's logo needed to be strong and I envisioned the font Trajan Pro to show her inner strength and overlaid the letters like a seal of approval. There is a free-spirited, yet grounded, nature to Denise so we added a splash of Al Fresco script beneath.
When we develop a brand, I always love to put together a mood board - and often this includes a library of stock images. The images needed to show inner longing but also a celebration of freedom.
Business cards can be a powerful tool - and we believe the best ones are simple and high-quality. We ordered high-end cards for Denise so she can leave a subtle yet powerful mark everywhere she hands them out.
Next, We Created a Website.
Denise performs much of her coaching over the phone and it was important to her to have a website for clients to get to know her, find her, and sign up to meet her. We created this responsive website design to help her do just that - and to be an ambasador for her brand.
With any business that is looking to gain attention online it is important not to think you can develop a static website - but to work your website and to get it working for you. If you don't know how, make sure to sign up for Make Your Website Work 17 this January.
Welcome Online, Denise!
Please join me in welcoming Denise and her business to the online space by liking and commenting on this post, liking Denise on Facebook, and sharing her page.
I for one am so thankful for the magic Denise has brought into my life, the lives of my clients, and what she may bring into yours should you join the conversation.
